President’s Pen – November 2025
I was overwhelmed by the sisterhood exhibited at another stellar convention! I hope everyone who attended is resting from a non-stop three-day event.
Our 35th Biennial Convention was fabulous; packed full of outstanding speakers and elected officials, vocalists, and great workshops. I am so glad many of you did network with your sister clubs and had fun doing it. I left energized for the upcoming new year and I hope you did as well.
Throughout the convention, we celebrated our achievements and...
President’s Pen – October 2025
I found myself daydreaming on the plane, getting lost in the sea of clouds and reminiscing about all the great memories made this past week at the NFRW Convention. We had a fabulous delegation! I am so proud of all your accomplishments this past 2-year cycle. Your unbelievable achievements reflect what TFRW is and we must celebrate! More than 1,000 women attended the NFRW Convention in Orlando. What a fabulous sisterhood. TFRW rocked the house with Awards! We did not...
President’s Pen – September
Convention season is here. This is what we look forward to every other year and WOW! Did it come really fast!
I’m looking forward to the upcoming 43rd Biennial NFRW Convention in Orlando, on September 25th through the 28th. TFRW will have a total of 75 attending. One of the biggest Delegations! Last I heard, there will be approximately 1,100 NFRW members attending. I can’t wait to hear all the great speakers and to network with our state-wide sisters. Also, there...
President’s Pen – August
Our 3rd Quarter Board meeting at Round Rock was wonderful. So many great leaders from clubs attended. The highlight was the presentation of the 2026-2027 TFRW Slate of Officers. Congratulations to all of them! In addition, we recognized the 40 Under 40, 2nd Cohort.
Senator Ted Cruz was our guest speaker at lunch updating us on everything happening in D.C., and a very special guest, Heidi Cruz, shared a few words with us as well. Robin Armstrong, RNC National Committeeman for...
President’s Pen – July 2025
It’s hard to believe that in just a few short days we will be celebrating the 4th of July, the birth of our great nation.
1776 marked the beginning of so many sacrifices made over generations to ensure “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” for so many generations to follow. Surviving for 249 years as a great nation is a major achievement in our history.
Celebrating our Independence has become a tradition for many Americans: parades, festivals, family gatherings, picnics, and...
President’s Pen – June 2025
I was honored to represent TFRW at the VEP Appreciation Conference May 3rd in Austin. The applause for TFRW gave me goosebumps hearing all the accolades for the awesome work we did during the election. We definitely made a difference and I thank all 600 VEP volunteers, and I especially thank Mary Heffernan. Your hard work turned the tides in those battle-ground states, and I can’t imagine what might have happened if we hadn’t put our whole hearts and souls...
