40 Under 40 Fellowship

Introduction

Welcome to the Texas Federation of Republican (TFRW) Women’s 40 Under 40 Fellowship. The 40 Under 40 program is designed to help equip, empower and launch young conservative women into effective advocacy and candidacy (if they’d like) while serving in their local and state Federation. It will focus on leadership and professional development through monthly fireside chats from industry and advocacy leaders, and mentorship.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Professional women, students, stay-at-home moms, and all young women (18-40) should apply to the program because it will be designed to help meet them where they are and turn around to launch them into where they aspire to go in advocacy and the political sphere.

For TFRW, this is an opportunity to start building a bench of equipped young women who can be plugged into the Federation at a level that benefits the participant and the organization. There’s no limit on how many people can be nominated.

• The selection committee will review all applications and select up to 40 applicants.
• The applicants will be selected based on their resume, leadership, and contributions to their Club.
• The applicants will be notified by email and announced publicly on the Texas Federation of Republican Women’s website, and social media platforms.

The 40 Under 40 program will run through the end of 2027. Participants will take part in virtual leadership development sessions, mentorship opportunities, networking with accomplished Republican women from across Texas, and discussions with elected officials, policy leaders, and movement influencers. Fellows will also have the opportunity to attend TFRW board meetings and become more engaged in the work of our organization.

We will also have a 40 Under 40 retreat following the 90th Legislative Session.

• Be a Republican woman who is 40 years old or younger.
• Be a member of a TFRW-affiliated Republican club.
• Submit a completed application.
• Include a résumé (maximum two pages).
• Include a biography (maximum 300 words).
• Submit a letter of recommendation from a TFRW Club Board Member.
• Demonstrate meaningful contributions to her community and the Republican Party.

We believe that this program will not only recognize the outstanding achievements of young Republican women in Texas but also provide them with the support and mentorship they need to continue making a positive impact in their fields and communities.

Applications are open now through August 25th, 2026. The Selection Committee will review all submissions, the new class will be announced by September 1st, 2026, presented at the TFRW Fourth Quarter Board Meeting on September 17th–18th in Round Rock.
