UNITY DRIVES VICTORY!

Wow! Am I one proud President! Seeing the number of members from across the state who spent their time and treasure to attend the Republican Party of Texas State Convention was inspiring. I did not anticipate seeing so many of you. Your kind attitude set the tone of the convention and was an example to all Republicans. Congratulations to the new Chair of the Republican Party of Texas, D’Rinda Randall, a proud member of the Golden Corridor Republican Women. I look forward to working with D’Rinda to strengthen the Republican Party in Texas and elect Republicans down the entire ballot.

Governor “Hot Wheels” Abbott set the stage for this fall with the theme Unity Drives Victory. (Oh, and a REAL elephant!) Ladies, we have a very hard Fall election ahead of us. I’m not going to sugarcoat it — ALL our races are at risk! Every single Republican could lose. This is the first time in 30 years I’ve ever said that. We must all work hard to keep Texas, “Texas.”

At our July Board meeting, we will be rolling out our Victory Plan. We will have some great club incentives as well as individual incentives to Keep Texas RED! There is something for EVERYONE to do. We will be working with several organizations, the Governor, the Lt. Governor, and the Speaker of the Texas House to bring home victory. However, please don’t count these plans as the only ones — as opportunities come up and Republicans need us, we will answer the call! We are Where the RED Begins!

Finally, Happy 250th Birthday America! I am so happy and proud to call Texas and America home. My new favorite pastime is to watch the videos of the Europeans here for the World Cup. Seeing someone try biscuits, eat BBQ, drink a margarita for the first time, or enjoying free refills with ice is precious and reminds me how good we have it. I hope seeing the world’s biggest Buc-ee’s, visiting a Waffle House, and loving Taco Bell will spread the entrepreneurial spirit of America to their countries.

The best part is hearing these visitors say how they have been lied to about America. They had no idea we were so kind and welcoming, or that our country was so clean or our citizens so kind and generous. I wish the Democrats loved America like these Europeans do. They see the beauty and amazement of the greatest country on Earth as we do now. So spread that love of country and remember if we don’t work hard the next five months, we will not look like the state we love.
