TFRW Woman of Distinction – January 2023
Cameron County Republican Women (CCRW) is proud to present the TFRW Distinguished Woman for January 2023: Member and State Representative (HD37), Janie Lopez.
Janie is a first-born generation from Mexico and she is the first in her extensive family to attend and graduate with honors from college.
As a San Benito school board trustee, Janie is working to ensure financial accountability in all aspects of budgeting and projects. She decided to serve because she was tired of the mismanagement and the corrupt political establishment becoming rich off of government contracts. She works to expose corrupt practices and shut them down.
Janie supports the energy industry and is working to stop government overreach and the undermining of our oil and gas businesses. She fights for industry jobs and Texans’ rights to produce reliable and inexpensive energy. Additionally, she supports policies that create new jobs and help small businesses fight regulations that hinder them and our economy.
Janie attends CCRW meetings and regularly joins them at Jackson Street Market Days to meet the public and educate them about the Republican Party, Cameron County Republican Women and our conservative values.
After her November victory, she thanked CCRW and TFRW for their support and gave honor to God for the victory. Guided by her Christian values, we can count on Janie to keep her commitments, promote conservative family values, and fight to secure the border, protect life in the womb, stop the dangerous defunding of police, stop human trafficking, and defend the Constitutional rights of Texans.
