Janet Parker is a native Texan, born and raised in Burnet, Texas. Janet and her husband Chris have been married for 40 years, and together they raised two children, Justin and Claire. Now, every chance they get, they enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren.

Janet has served Burnet County as the County Clerk for almost 32 years. She began working in the office in 1983 and ran for office in 1990. Janet was elected and took office January 1st, 1991. With nearly 40 years of service to the office, she has been a dedicated official to all constituents of Burnet County. The office leads in technological advances, document availability, and innovative service under the leadership of Janet. Burnet County will surely miss her when she retires on December 31st of this year.

Besides being a full-time elected official and dedicated wife, mother, and Gran Jan, Janet is also an active member of Burnet County Republican Women. She serves on the Social Committee and has hosted many club events including the 2021 New Member Reception and Training in 2021.

Throughout the election season, she also enjoys being a moderator to the many Candidate Forums held in Burnet County.  Janet is a gracious member and never hesitates to lend a hand or donate to the many causes of the Burnet County Republican Women, Republican Club, or Republican Party. She is happy to block walk, mail personalized notes, and campaign for Republican candidates across Burnet County, the State of Texas, and the United States of America.
