TFRW Woman of Distinction – August 2021
TFRW has chosen to honor one of our outstanding Club Presidents and friend, Deborah Wall, as our August Woman of Distinction!
Deb Wall is President of Camino Real Republican Women in San Antonio. She has been active in every aspect of politics, working for Local, State and Federal candidates, serving on TFRW Club Boards, and two years ago started the Camino Real Republican Women’s Club.
In two short years CRRW has helped get State and Federal Republicans elected or re-elected into office. And, with Debbie’s leadership, CRRW created the Border Agent Care Project which supports our overworked Border Agents by supplying them with much needed items such as hand sanitizer, wound wash, disposable gloves, and insect repellent, just to name a few.
The first delivery was made to the Agents in 2019. The first delivery of 2021 was close to $12,000 in product and the second delivery will exceed that amount. This project would not be possible without CRRW members who stepped up and helped with the organization and delivery of the items.
Since the first delivery, the Border Agent Care Project has grown exponentially and is being supported by TFRW clubs throughout the state of Texas and beyond. The Border Agents have been overwhelmed by the generosity, support and caring that they are receiving from these contributions. They have stated that just knowing that there are people who truly care for them and the job they are doing makes their task a little easier.
Deb is the catalyst for this program and its continued success. She and her husband, Fred, chose to live in San Antonio after Fred retired from the U.S. Air Force. They have two daughters and three grandsons. They attend First Presbyterian Church in San Antonio.
