Edna Staudt was elected Justice of the Peace in Williamson County in 1994 and served in that position until the 2022 general election when she resigned to give of her numerous volunteer hours to her community and Leander Area Republican Women.

Edna has been a member of the Republican Party since 1982 and served in many capacities such as Precinct Chair, Convention Chair, Organizational Committee Chair, Senatorial District Convention Secretary, and as a volunteer on numerous national, state, and local campaigns. She also served as a Delegate to every Republican State Convention since 1982.

Edna is the co-founder of both Founders Vision Republican Women and Legacy Republican Women of Williamson County. Currently, she serves as the Chaplain of Leander Area Republican Women. In 2022, she was awarded the John R. Carter Outstanding Achievement of Service Award at the Williamson County Reagan Dinner. She is recipient of numerous awards such as Great Hills Christian Academy Leadership Award, Hill Country Community Ministries Heart of Hope Award, Judge of the Year by the Central Texas JP and Constable Association and Cedar Park Citizen of the Year.

Edna also is a member of the National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association, and Leadership Circle of Texas Alliance for Life.
