TFRW Meeting and Convention Updates – March 17, 2020

President’s Message

March 17, 2020

My TFRW Friends,

Navigating this ever-evolving COVID-19 situation is an unexpected and unwelcome challenge for us all. But together, we will move forward demonstrating unity, compassion, and resolve, and modeling for others a calm voice of reason amid this storm of fear and uncertainty.

Clubs across our state are justifiably postponing or cancelling their meetings and social events. It’s critical that these decisions are made in consideration of what is best for our members, and according to the most current CDC recommendations. Thank you for your outstanding leadership of your local clubs and in your local communities. TFRW is here to help and support you in any way that we can. Are you interested in holding virtual meetings? Let us know; we can help!

Cancellations and Date Changes

  • The TFRW Board of Directors’ meetings scheduled for April 17th & 18th have been cancelled.
  • The TFRW Board of Directors’ meetings scheduled for July 17th & 18th are being rescheduled, but dates are not yet confirmed. I am working with the hotel and will hopefully have an update in the April newsletter.
  • The RPT Convention has been tentatively changed to July 13th-18th, pending SREC approval.
  • The Tribute to Women Luncheon has been tentatively changed to Friday, July 17th. If you have already purchased tickets, your tickets will automatically transfer. If you cannot attend in July, please contact Jill Tate at ‌jill@tate‑usa.com. Note: Due to this change, we are extending the deadline for Tribute Nominee submissions to June 1st. Forms will be reprinted in the April newsletter.

Our challenges have changed, but our mission remains the same. I encourage each of you to stay positive. Use this time to promote our values and our candidates on social media. Research legislation that is important to you. Most importantly, make it a point to check on family, friends, and TFRW members who live alone – especially those in high risk categories – to ensure they are healthy and their needs are met.

While this is a crisis, it will eventually pass. When it does, we will rise prepared and stronger than before. Be ready to rally quickly to turn out voters for our President and our other Republicans up and down the ballot in November. Together, we will KEEP TEXAS RED! #TFRWLeads

For Texas and The Country!
