George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States, has died at age 94. His family released a statement late Friday announcing the death of their father.
Barbara Bush, 92, his wife of 73 years and former first lady, died in April 2018. They were married longer than any other presidential couple.
George H. W. Bush was the patriarch of a family dedicated to a life of political service. His children, including George W. Bush, the 43rd President and former governor of Texas, and Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida, and his grandchildren continue his legacy of service and honor.
The Texas Federation of Republican Women send our condolences to his family and friends. We will remember George and Barbara Bush as a devoted couple with hearts dedicated to public service and their community. Tonight, they are together in heaven with their daughter, Robin, celebrating their love and life together.
Rest in peace, Mr. President, as God watches over you and your family.
