President’s Pen – January 2026
Happy 2026! I am so excited to be starting this incredible new chapter as YOUR TFRW President. I have big shoes to fill, and I can’t thank Immediate Past President Zenia Warren, and all the past Presidents and Board members enough for their leadership and dedication to TFRW.
Our first big event is Leadership Day in Fort Worth – Where the RED Begins! Fort Worth is “Where the West Begins,” and we know that TFRW is “Where the RED Begins in Texas!” Texas would not be the bright shade of RED that it is without the hard work, dedication, and determination of Republican women.
Leadership Day is for everyone, not just club officers. Friday night enjoy the Welcome Dinner and Attorney General Forum. Saturday morning have coffee and pastries while you meet candidates from across the state, then the day will be filled with training and education, and special guest lunch speaker Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins. There might even be a few surprise visitors at the end of the day!
I encourage you to get to know your new Officers and Committee Chairs and volunteer to be on their committees. We are committed to growing membership and influence in Texas. Plans for a podcast, increased social media presence, an update to our website, and new awards have already started.
We are also bringing back the Bullet Point Memo that will come out once a month. This is a short concise way to get important TFRW information quickly. However, please continue to use all the resources available on the TFRW and NFRW websites and read the monthly newsletter. There is a lot of good information every month in our newsletter. Sit down with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and learn all about the great things happening Uniting Republican Women for Texas in TFRW. Education and communication are what will keep us politically informed so we can share our message and Keep Texas RED!
I am still looking for Committee Chairs for Courtesy and Women of Distinction to fill our Board. In addition, I would like to create a Water Committee to educate our members on the growing water problems in Texas. If you are nterested, please email me at [email protected].
I am honored to serve as your President and look forward to working with each of you as we Keep Texas RED!
Jill Tate
TFRW President
