President’s Pen – January 2025
Happy New Year!
Looking back at 2024, I am so proud of everything each and every one of you did to make this election too big to rig. Your commitment overwhelms me and I thank you for all you do. We made a difference and our great nation will finally be on the path to being “Great Again.”
History was made and you were part of that history. I hope you are looking forward to 2025. We elected our candidates and now we will focus on legislation and preparing for our TFRW Convention in October. Let’s keep our momentum going by building our clubs, educating our members, and reinforcing our sisterhood. United we win and together we proved that.
Take advantage of attending one of the Regional ABCs of Leadership workshops being offered in the upcoming months. Information is provided in this newsletter but do reach out to your Deputy President or District Director for information in your area.
We’ve also created digital training, now available on the TFRW website, if you can’t attend. This training is essential for making your club more productive. Whether you are an officer or a member, maintaining and growing your club is a team effort. Networking with other clubs is priceless.
Our First Quarter Board Meeting will be held this month at the Georgetown Sheraton, January 17th and 18th. Information can be found HERE. Consider attending. We will be electing the 2026-27 Nominating Committee and recapping 2024.
Congratulations to everyone who will be venturing to Washington, D.C., for the Inauguration. Safe travels. I encourage all clubs to celebrate at your own local events. I’m seeing quite a few planned. Send TFRW your pictures.
The next big event coming up will be Legislative Day, Friday, March 21st, at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin. Jill Tate, VP of Legislation, has information in this newsletter.
Remember to stay on top of your Awards and Activity Hours. Please submit your hours, they’re due by January 15th.
Time to get ready for the upcoming conventions. The NFRW Convention will be in Orlando, Florida, September 25th — 28th, and TFRW will be celebrating our 70th Anniversary this year at the TFRW Convention in San Antonio, October 23rd — 25th. Plan on joining us for a once-in-a- lifetime celebration!
I can’t believe how quickly 2024 has flown by. I have enjoyed visiting so many of you and installing new Club Officers. I am humbly honored to serve you. 2025 will truly be a fabulous year.
