President’s Pen – January 2022
Happy New Year and welcome to 2022!
I could not be more excited about the adventure we are embarking upon together. There are so many things I want to share about our 2022 plans, but it is impossible to cover everything in one article. This newsletter is a fabulous resource. I encourage you to read the entire newsletter each month and discover ways to get involved, learn of upcoming events, and find valuable resources and tools for your club officers.
While writing this article, I have learned that Leadership Day is rapidly selling out. Our construction team has worked hard making this a day not to be missed. Whether you are a club leader, a community leader, or a grassroots leader (that would be all of us), Leadership Day is for you! There will be a Friday night Welcome Reception, workshops, a Candidate Meet & Greet, and an Attorney General Candidate forum. And best of all, there will be networking with Republican women from across our great state. Register today HERE. You and your club will be glad you did. Please remember, that the 1st Quarter Board Meeting (register HERE) and Leadership Day are separate events. You must register separately for each event and there is a separate registration fee for each event.
I loved reading each newsletter article as they came across my desk and couldn’t help but smile when I read Dana Myers’ article. I loved her spunk when she referred to the fact that socialism is knocking at our door and said, “It is time to shut that nonsense down!” Dana could not be more right and it is up to TFRW women to spread the truth about what the Democrats truly stand for and shut them down. I am up to that challenge, are you?
The facts show that Republican women know what is on the line in 2022 and how we will lead the way to victory. TFRW has ninety-plus TFRW women running for office (more than ever before); many of you are already working on candidate campaigns, preparing to work as election judges or poll watchers, and registering new voters. Our office is being flooded with new and renewing membership applications and I expect our 2022 membership numbers to exceed 13,000. Again, I could not be more excited about the possibilities for 2022.
Our 2022-2023 TFRW theme, “Building Strong Leaders for Texas,” is fitting for such a time as this. It is up to TFRW women to lead the charge in defending Texas and our country from the destructive agenda of socialist democrats. By empowering women through our focus on building leaders, I am confident we will be successful in “shutting that nonsense down!”
Thank you for the honor of serving you.
“Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader. They set out to make the difference. It is never about the role – always about the goal.” – Lisa Haisha
