President’s Message

Relentless as the Gulf Coast waves…

July was a whirlwind of activity including Independence Day celebrations and our TFRW Third Quarter Board Meeting. We were excited to have an overflow crowd attend the Board meeting and hear informative updates from Board members and speakers who inspired us to be relentless for the next three months doing all we can for our Republican candidates.

The November election is only 100 days away, and our one and only goal is to WIN EVERY RACE ON THE BALLOT. Texas has not always been Republican, and it is estimated that to win in November, 76.6% of Republicans must get out and vote. If we aren’t successful, all that Texas Republicans have accomplished over the past few years is at risk of being washed away! If this isn’t a call to action, I don’t know what is!

Politics is not for the faint of heart. TFRW women must be relentless in our efforts to educate voters that politics matter, because policies matter, because people matter. Elections have consequences and policies, through politics, impact every aspect of our lives. It is because of the failed policies of the Biden administration that gas prices have skyrocketed, inflation has hit a 40-year high of 9.1%, we are suffering from supply chain issues, and drugs are flowing into Texas across the southern border like never before.

Our enthusiasm and dedication will determine the future of Texas and our country. TFRW members must change the sentiment of those who believe that simply voting is enough, those who have walked away from the party, or those who believe their vote doesn’t count.

I implore you to remember what Glynis—and all past presidents have stressed— TFRW must set the example for how to be effective, positive leaders by focusing on our mission of electing our Republican candidates and by:

  • Being positive about our party and our candidates
  • Increasing club membership and participation
  • Re-engaging those who have left the party
  • Bringing in independents and those leaving the Democrat party
  • Block walking, phone banking, hosting meet and greet events

We are living in unprecedented times like we have never seen before in our lifetime. With turmoil, uncertainty, and division all around us, it is easy to get discouraged and consider giving up. But TFRW women know Texas is the best place in the country to live, work and raise a family, and are proud to lead the way in the fight for our great state. We are strong Republican women, relentless as the Gulf Coast waves in our efforts to elect our Republican candidates, and to show Democrats what strong Texans look like and how we fight to defend our freedoms.
