President’s Pen – April 2022

President’s Message

I love April! Spring is here and new life can be seen all around. Flowers are blooming, trees are budding, children are playing outside and yes, it is my birthday month. I look forward to celebrating not only my birthday but also celebrating our Savior’s resurrection with our children and grandchildren.

I can’t believe that April is already here though. It seems like yesterday we were preparing for Leadership Day, but now, our 2nd Quarter Board meeting is just a few weeks away. We will gather on April 29th and 30th at the Renaissance Austin Hotel. As always, we will conduct important business, and hear from inspiring, informative speakers that you don’t want to miss.

But during these times when the world seems inside out and upside down, I look forward to the opportunities our meetings provide to simply spend time with each of you. Being with you ladies restores my soul and I leave our meetings refreshed and ready to take on the world. We would love for you to join us at the Renaissance. It truly is an exciting time to be a TFRW member. VEP volunteers are registering Republican voters and our membership drive is kicking off with thousands of postcards going to Republican women voters who aren’t already engaged. You ladies are involved in your communities, you are building your clubs through informative programs and training, and you devote thousands of hours of time and talent to elect Republicans. Enjoy the pictures in the newsletter from just a few of the events that took place during March. You are working around the clock to protect Texas and our country and for that I can’t thank you enough.

We can’t eliminate all that is wrong in our world today, but we can make a difference by being positive role models and working for what is good, true, and right. I hope each of you can look past the headlines of our times and celebrate the Easter season with love, hope, and bountiful blessings, and maybe some candy eggs and special treats too.

Below are the blessings my husband and I are most thankful for. It is pure chaos when they are all together, but we love every minute they are at our house. We can’t wait to hunt for Easter eggs and go through Easter baskets with these five cutie patooties.

Thank you for the honor of serving you.

Building Strong Leaders for Texas,

Kit Whitehill

TFRW President
