Who will ever forget the wonderful experience of holding the 32nd Biennial Convention in the beautiful city of Galveston at the Moody Gardens?!
It was a week to remember, the weather was beautiful, and the water and sea breezes were the perfect backdrop for the TFRW Convention. I know, if you attended, you enjoyed the Sip, Shop, and Stroll in the Historic Strand. The opening session of the convention on Thursday set the pace for the rest of the convention. The speaker line-up was fabulous, thanks to Debbie Roan, Convention Co-Chair, and Karen Newton, TFRW President, for the great job with the Speaker Program. The session hall was the most beautiful ever!
It was so great to have our Texas First Lady Cecilia Abbott welcome us at the Red Wave Welcome Reception. The event was so much fun and very festive out on the Poolside Terrace. We had plenty of delicious food, too!
Friday was amazing and jam packed with activities, wonderful speakers, the Awards Luncheon, the Workshops, the Patron’s/”10 Outstanding” Reception, and the “10 Outstanding” Dinner. It was a challenge to keep up with the crowds wanting to get in to hear all about the TFRW and the Republican efforts.
After three fun days, we wrapped up with the installation of the 2020-2021 TFRW Board, who will carry on the good work accomplished in 2018-2019. The 2019 TFRW Convention Committee THANK YOU for participating in a record-breaking convention with us. We had a great time planning and preparing for you, and we hope we met your expectations. We look forward to seeing you in Round Rock in 2021!
