TFRW Blog

Louri has been a Republican voter since she was 18 years old and has voted in every election since. She is currently the Office Administrator for Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW).

Louri’s career started as an educator in both public and private schools. She received a Master’s in Education Administration while teaching. She worked for the Texas Association of Realtors in the Governmental Affairs section and then went to work for TFRW when Jan Kennady was President. It was her privilege to serve during President Kennady’s tenure and during the redistricting that led to historic changes for Texas.

Louri’s 20-year-career in State Government began in the Office of Governor Bush in the General Counsel Division and then with Governor Perry’s Criminal Justice Division and the Economic Development & Tourism Division. It concluded in 2018 after working seven years for the Secretary of State as the Elections Administrator focusing on election security, and working on 30 elections with 20 of those as Special Elections or runoffs.

Following the great tradition of Republican women, Louri has served as Precinct Chair, Election Judge, Convention Delegate and TFRW Club Officer. She is a proud member of Northwest Austin Republican Women.

Louri was honored to receive a gubernatorial appointment by Governor Perry and then reappointed by Governor Abbott to the State Employees Charitable Campaign Policy Committee. In her spare time, Louri serves as a Docent at the Texas Governor’s Mansion.

Louri is a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church Parish Council, serves as an officer with KJT family fraternal Czech Society 112, and has been involved in several community neighborhood associations.

Louri is the proud wife of Jim Harrison and loves their sweet puppy who they rescued from San Antonio Pets Alive.
