Woman of Distinction – October 2025

TFRW Blog

Anita Moore took a most circuitous route before her family settled in Texas. She was raised in a military family and lived all over the United States and Europe. Her father, a Naval officer, instilled in her a love for skiing, travel and meeting people.

Anita managed five political campaigns for her husband including School Board, City Council, and Mayoral races. She served on the Mansfield Commission for the Arts, Salvation Army Advisory Board, and Mansfield Cares supporting local families in need. She also worked on visiting author events through Friends of the Mansfield Public Library.

Anita served as co-President of the North Texas USAFA Parents Club and co-hosted the annual Texas Night at the Air Force Academy, a Texas-sized barbeque, feeding cadets, officers and enlisted personnel. She served as President of several PTAs, participated in multiple school bond and site-based committees, and was honored with the PTA Honorary Life Membership Award.

Currently, Anita serves as TFRW District Director for SD10 (2022–2025) and is a member of Reagan Legacy Republican Women, serving as President (three terms) and First Vice President of Programs. She served as the Credentials Chair for the 2023 TFRW Convention in Irving and now in 2025 for the TFRW Convention in San Antonio. She was a Delegate to the 2024 Republican Party of Texas Convention. She is HOA President and part of the City of Mansfield HOA Roundtable.

Anita and Terry, college sweethearts, have been married 41 years, have three children, one grandchild, and a beloved Labrador. Residents of Mansfield since 1998, they enjoy traveling the world, skiing, and collecting wine.
