Woman of Distinction – May 2025

TFRW Blog

Erica Whatley began her career in banking, ultimately working in the Wells Fargo Private Bank Legal Specialty Group in Washington, D.C., where she managed high-net-worth accounts for attorneys in the nation’s capital. Throughout her professional journey, she supported her husband on campaign trails from San Antonio to Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Austin – often with their young children in tow.

After pausing her career to raise their three daughters, Erica returned to public service by helping Toni Anne Dashiell win re-election as the Republican National Committeewoman for Texas. This pivotal moment led to a lasting commitment to both Toni Anne and the Texas Federation of Republican Women. For the past five years, Erica has worked for TFRW handling statewide communications, managing the organization’s website, and coordinating membership submissions. She also plays a key role in organizing TAD Talks, a weekly Zoom series that keeps Texas Republicans informed on legislative issues.

In addition to her statewide work, Erica has consulted on more than a dozen local campaigns, focusing on school board, city council, and judicial races— often supporting candidates with limited resources who are working hard to serve their communities.

Erica lives in Rockwall, Texas, where she is a licensed real estate agent and a member of Rockwall County Republican Women. She is also the founder of Laundry Love Rockwall, a nonprofit initiative that provides free laundry services to low- and no-income families. Partnering with Blue Wave Laundromat, Erica organizes monthly events where families can have their laundry washed and dried at no cost, while experiencing dignity, kindness, and a sense of community. In addition, Erica actively volunteers with her parish service organization at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
