TFRW Blog

Deborah Wall is a graduate of the University of Louisville where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a member of the San Antonio de Bexar Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution and the Military-Civilian Club of San Antonio. She was a military spouse for 25 years with four overseas tours and six stateside assignments that offered ample opportunities to organize activities for military families.

Deborah has also been very active with the Texas Federation of Republican Women. Campaigning has been the main focus of her political activities and she has devoted herself to electing quality candidates for the Republican Party.

Currently, Deborah is the President of Camino Real Republican Women. She concentrates on informing members who work on campaigns, voter registration, policy issues, events and candidates. The main policy issue has been border security and the club’s main focus since its inception has been the Border Care Project which solicits donations for hygiene items for Border Patrol Agents. Due to the high rate of infectious diseases, this is a constant need.

Deborah acknowledges the many people who give time, energy, and resources to make this project possible. A club is a compilation of people with various backgrounds and talents. Camino Real is blessed with some very experienced, personally accomplished members. It is at this point that she feels any accolades must be shared with our Camino Real/ Border Care Project crew.

Also, many TFRW clubs have contributed to the Border Care Project. It has provided a way to express their support for the Border Patrol Agents and all law enforcement protecting us. Many have sent heartfelt notes to the agents wishing them well.

Any recognition also must be shared with these clubs that have provided carloads of first aid supplies, food and necessities. Also, individuals from our Republican Community have been incredibly generous! It is truly an organic effort by all, not just one person. Most recently, Christmas Cards and cookies were sent to Del Rio, and Christmas Cards were sent to the Rio Grande Valley.

Deborah says it has been an honor to help put the Border Care Project together. Most importantly, it has been inspiring for her to work with such amazing grassroots people who are helping to care for our own.

“Each team member and contributor is worthy of distinction,” says Deborah.
