Woman of Distinction – July 2025
Carolyn grew up in Houston. She attended North Texas State and the University of Houston earning a teaching degree with a minor in music. She has been part of several singing groups and even worked as a studio backup singer for recording artists.
She has been married to her husband Jerry for 45 years. They share four grown children and have 10 grandchildren and one great grandson. In 2005, she and her husband made the Canyon Lake area their home. Carolyn instantly became involved in the community and volunteered at the local food bank, the New Life Children’s Center and served on her HOA Board for four years.
Carolyn has always been interested in political endeavors, so she decided to join Canyon Lake Republican Women in 2013. She has served as Recording Secretary, VP of Fundraising, Legislative Chair, Leadership Chair, and President. She is currently a Deputy Registrar, Precinct Chair, Election Judge, President of the Greater San Antonio Council (GSAC) of TFRW, and District Director of SD25.
She co-chaired TFRW’s Leadership Day in 2022 and recently helped lead ABCs of Leadership training workshops for 2025.
She has worked on many campaigns, participated in several block- walking events over the years, and did phone-banking for the Trump Campaign. She attended the NFRW Convention twice and the last five TFRW Conventions as a Delegate, as well as attended three RPT Conventions as a Delegate.
Carolyn is strongly passionate about keeping Texas and the nation a place where her grandchildren can grow up thriving and embracing conservative values.
