Woman of Distinction – January 2025
Jillian Boldway is the Editor of the Texas Federation of Republican Women’s newsletter, TFRW Today, and was a Tribute to Women Honoree in 2022.
For five years, Jillian served as 3rd VP-Editor of Bexar County Republican Women (BCRW), producing their monthly newsletter, Elephant Print, which won a Best Newsletter Award in 2023. She also updated the club’s website, and created fundraising invitations, postcards, flyers, billboards, and press releases as needed for BCRW’s campaign activities and other organizations including the Republican Party of Bexar County.
As a professional musician for more than 50 years, Jillian is known in her area for performing original patriotic and political “parody” songs at Republican clubs including New Braunfels Conservatives, Republican Club of Comal County, BCRW’s monthly luncheons, and local Republican fundraisers. She even wrote a song for her Representative, Chip Roy.
Growing up as an Army “brat,” Jillian spent most of her childhood overseas which fostered a high level of patriotism for the USA, and gave her a strong base of conservatism from her family and the military. In the 1990s, she produced three albums of original children’s songs designed to instill patriotism and self-esteem, and starred in and produced her own children’s public television show.
Her background includes a career in the corporate world as the head of Corporate Communications for Callaway Golf Company in Carlsbad, California, where she produced the company magazine. Serving also as head of Public Relations, she was privy to holding court with many celebrities, foreign heads of state, and influential political figures. Venturing out later as an entrepreneur, she owned a trolley tour business in Prescott, Arizona, creating historic “Old West Tours” which led to her recruitment as the Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Seguin, Texas, where she marketed the city and its events. She got to Texas as soon as she could, and gladly retired here in 2016 where she feels at home with the conservative values of Texas Republican women!
Jillian has a BA in Psychology and a PhD in Metaphysics and lives in the Hill Country outside New Braunfels with her partner, Randolph, and their Great Pyrenees, “Tank.” She also is a member of Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
