Woman of Distinction – December 2024

TFRW Blog

Linda Kinney is the Treasurer for Kendall County Republican Women and also is the Vice-Chair of Kendall County Republican Party.

Linda is a long-time conservative grassroots activist who has worked to support the Republican Party and help conservative candidates get elected for most of her adult life. She has a long history of serving within her local party, auxiliary Republican groups, as well as the State Republican Executive Committee where she represented Senate District 25 for four terms. She served in Hays County as a Precinct Chair and officer positions including County Chair. Most recently, Linda served the Texas Federation of Republican Women as Deputy President for her region.

Linda not only has attended County and State Republican conventions since 1990, but she also brought her daughters Emily Kinney and Sara Marie Ridley along with her. Perhaps as a result, both ladies are now active members (and one an officer) of their Republican women’s clubs.

One of Linda’s specialties over the years has been organizing successful Lincoln Reagan Dinners in both Hays County and Kendall County. In years past she has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars while hosting speakers like Ben Carson, Michelle Malkin, Michael Reagan, former Governor Rick Perry and many others.

Linda currently serves as a Governor Abbott appointee on the Texas Judicial Compensation Commission. She lives in Comfort, Texas with her husband Wally. When they are not working to elect conservatives to all levels of public office, they enjoy watching their grandkids turn into Patriots too!
