President’s Pen – September
Convention season is here. This is what we look forward to every other year and WOW! Did it come really fast!
I’m looking forward to the upcoming 43rd Biennial NFRW Convention in Orlando, on September 25th through the 28th. TFRW will have a total of 75 attending. One of the biggest Delegations! Last I heard, there will be approximately 1,100 NFRW members attending. I can’t wait to hear all the great speakers and to network with our state-wide sisters. Also, there are quite a few proposed Bylaws amendments that we will vote on. Electing the new NFRW Officers and presentation of the NFRW Awards will be the highlights of the convention.
Moving on after that, is the 35th Biennial TFRW Convention, October 23rd through the 25th at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio. TFRW members were certified August 25th and Certification Credential Application has been sent to all Club Presidents. It is the responsibility of your Club President to certify you as a Delegate or an Alternate.
We will conduct business for TFRW at the convention. Proposed Bylaws amendments were sent out with the Call, and we will elect our new Officers for 2026-2027. The Call is available on the Events page on our website HERE.
Don’t forget Awards! This is your time to shine. Attending a workshop is a must. But I’m sure there will be those strolling down the River Walk for an afternoon margarita. Enjoy! Above all, take advantage of networking. Build lasting relationships and show care for one another.
Please pay attention to the HARD deadline dates regarding credentialing. These dates are prescribed per our Bylaws.
Have you considered running for District Director for your Senate District (SD)? Your biggest responsibility as a Delegate is caucusing with your SD and electing the very best representative from your SD to be your voice with TFRW.
I’m counting the days until I see many of you at the upcoming conventions. Safe travels!
I am humbly honored to serve you.
God Bless You and God Bless Texas!
