I’m amazed how quickly this year is flying by. We’re already getting ready for conventions, both TFRW and NFRW; the 89th Legislature is still moving ahead with only a short period of time to get things done, and summer is right around the corner when many of you will be taking a hiatus for a few months. I’ve really enjoyed reading all your newsletters and am so very proud of your accomplishments.

I’m concerned about a few social media posts I’ve seen. Please read Crystle Cloud’s article regarding social media guidelines. Always refer to your Bylaws and Candidate Fairness Policy especially this month with so many municipal elections taking place across the state. It’s important to support all the Republican candidates running (and don’t forget to vote!).

As Republican women leaders we need to be professional. Our candidates look for this and our elected officials appreciate this. Leaders strive for ways to support and bring out the best in each other. Kit Whitehill shared some really good words of wisdom a couple of years ago and I want to share them with you again:

1. Show genuine care for one another and build lasting relationships.
2. Provide clear expectations and engage in honest conversations.
3. Praise in public and correct in private.
4. Discover and then develop people’s strengths and passions.
5. Share the credit.
6. Speak vision and possibility to people and share leadership opportunities.
7. Have fun!

The first of many important convention deadlines is June 1st. If you haven’t submitted your applications for the NFRW Club Achievement, Americanism, Caring for America, Armed Forces, or Literacy awards you have until midnight June 1st to submit them. Please don’t procrastinate to the very end. You’ve worked hard and you deserve National recognition.

Thank You to all club Presidents who attended the NFRW Awards Zoom April 30th. I’m looking forward to getting your awards applications. A short cut has been created on the TFRW website for you under Events. All information for the NFRW Convention and the TFRW Convention including Deadline Dates and even Awards can be found at https://www. tfrw.org/events/. Hotel Registration is now open for the TFRW Convention. Early Bird registration will be coming soon. Check the website periodically for updates. Please read this newsletter completely. Read your Capitol Connection from NFRW. Registration for the NFRW Convention will be announced in the next couple of months. Adhere to upcoming deadline dates especially if your club isn’t meeting in the next few months.

It’s a GREAT time to be a Republican! Savor the Golden Age before us. I thank you for the honor of serving you.
