President’s Pen – July 2025

President’s Message

It’s hard to believe that in just a few short days we will be celebrating the 4th of July, the birth of our great nation.

1776 marked the beginning of so many sacrifices made over generations to ensure “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” for so many generations to follow. Surviving for 249 years as a great nation is a major achievement in our history.

Celebrating our Independence has become a tradition for many Americans: parades, festivals, family gatherings, picnics, and fireworks! And, above all, proudly displaying our American Flag! But we must remember freedom never comes without a price. It is not free.

Every American Patriot must hold dear to their heart the meaning of God, Family, and Country. This ideal was the foundation our Fore-Fathers set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They wanted to make sure that future generations would stay the course.

We must respect our great history and learn from our history. Ronald Reagan said it best in 1961: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, defend it, and then hand it to them with the well fought lessons of how they in their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I don’t do this, then you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it once was like in America when men were free.”

Take a moment to reflect, this 4th of July, and pray for our great nation. Remember those who sacrificed their lives so that each and every one of us can celebrate our freedom, and pray for those who take freedom for granted. Love for our great nation should be the objective of every American. Stand proud for the USA and embrace your freedom.

I am humbly honored to serve you.

God Bless You, God Bless Texas and God Bless America!
