TFRW Legacy Grave Marker program honors women who have served at minimum of one full two-year term as an Elected Officer in the Texas Federation of Republican Women’s Organization. This includes all TFRW Elected Officers and TFRW District Directors. This is not available for federated Club Presidents.
Steps involved:
- 1. Identify the person whom you wish to honor and document her gravesite. This may be done by family or club.
2. Obtain written consent from the cemetery authorities for your family to place a marker at the site where the individual is buried.
3. Prepare the application form and collect the requested documentation. Full name, dates served, TFRW position, name of cemetery, and location. (Click here to download the fillable PDF.)
4. Contact the current TFRW President for approval to use the template. Receive a letter of approval from the TFRW President to place the marker (that includes the text approved for the marker) and template.
5. Place and dedicate the marker. You may ask TFRW Chaplain for dedication assistance.
6. Send a report of the marker’s placement and dedication to the TFRW Chaplain.
