The 86th Texas Legislature is in session – and it is time to register for this year’s Legislative Day! TFRW’s Legislative Day will be held in Austin on Thursday, April 25th with events at the Sheraton at the Capitol. Back by popular demand, Belles ‘N Boots will kick off the happenings on Wednesday, April 24th at Scholz Garten in downtown Austin. The full schedule for Legislative Day will be released as speakers are confirmed. Don’t wait, register by Monday, April 1st before prices go up! Don’t forget to wear your RED! We are looking forward to seeing you in Austin in April!

At the Legislative Day luncheon, to be eligible for seating at a Patron table, your Patron dues must be paid by Monday, April 1st. Patron seating is limited, so reserve your seat as early as possible. Any Patron seats not reserved by April 1st will be released to general seating.

Self-park in the adjoining garage for a discounted rate of $5.00 daily, normally $30.00 daily.

Valet parking is available.

At this time our hotel room block at the Sheraton is completely booked, and we have a waiting list for TFRW members to reserve a hotel room. Before you release a room that you have reserved, please call the TFRW office at 512-477-1615 to release the room back into our room block instead of releasing it back to the Sheraton. If you would like to place your name on a waiting list to reserve a room as they are available, please call the TFRW office at 512-477-1615.

When rooms are available at the Sheraton at the Capitol, you may reserve your room online here to receive our special group rate of $189.00 each night. The special group rate ends on Monday, April 1.

TFRW’s Legislative Day (“Lege Day”) is a biennial event designed to bring our statewide membership to Austin to see our Legislature in action, get training and information on legislative advocacy and issues, and also recognize our membership for their dedication to improving government through their various activities.
