                                            September 5, 1774
The first Continental Congress was called to order. Two years
later, on September 9, it changed the name of our country from
the United Colonies to the United States.

                                            September 11, 2001
The September 11 attacks were a series of four coordinated
terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group, al-Qaeda, against
the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11,
2001. The attacks killed 2,996 people and injured over 6,000
others. Read the complete article here:

                                            September 14, 1814
                                            The Star-Spangled Banner was composed.

                                            September 19, 1928
The loveable Mickey Mouse made his first debut on this day.

              We’re Still Standing

Those twin towers Red for valor
Standing tall with pride, And the blood that fell.
Fell with grieving hearts. White for purity
Stunned, America cried. Our heroes tell.
                                                 Blue for the justice
But we’re still standing. That will be done,
                                                 Proving once more
Bin Laden tried These colors don’t run.
              To crush our land,

But we stood our ground And we’re still standing.
              With our flag in hand.

              And we’re still standing.
