        CARING FOR AMERICA

                                                   Shining Stars

One of the values of the Republican Party is a limited government. We believe the
private sector can do better than a government program. That is exactly what is
happening across the great State of Texas; Republican women showing the community
we can make a difference by giving of ourselves.

This month, I’d like to spotlight Tarrant Star Republican Women. Tarrant Star Republican
Women won the Caring For America project at the NFRW Convention and their project
                                  is very worthy of sharing.

Tarrant Star RW began working with some underprivileged children in the historically economically-depressed,
tougher side of Fort Worth about two years ago. They have provided backpacks, school supplies, school uniforms,
a snow-cone machine, and supplies for camping trips for a group of young boys being mentored by an associate
member, Jesse Taylor. Additionally, they provided dictionaries for the third grade
students in two elementary schools in that area, in addition to visiting each
class and talking about the value of an education and the importance of our
Constitution. The dictionaries provided had the U.S. Constitution in them! Tarrant
Star Republican Women continue to work with these students because they
see the potential and know their help is appreciated and time working for these
        students is time well spent!

Congratulations, Tarrant Star Republican Women, on being a shining star to our community!

VP Finance Rena Peden; Associate Member, Jesse Taylor; Caring for America Chair Cynthia Ware; and
VP Programs Mona Bailey at T.A. Sims Elementary. On this day, the students were presented with
scholarships to Camp Carter, a YMCA camp. Jesse mentors the boys and supervises their projects.

Please email me your Caring for America Projects – the rest of TFRW wants to celebrate your
great work. Your project could INSPIRE another club, so that we can UNITE our communities to

ACHIEVE our goal of helping our communities and defeating the Democrats! Projects can be a
one-time project or an on-going project.
