A Very Fun Summer Idea!

Ladies, I know everyone is tired of politicking. The run-off races are over. The convention is this week, and everyone
wants a break - take one, a quick one. Then please come back and have one more push for membership for 2018. At
this writing, we’ve been at for nearly eight months. Make your event something fun. Reduce your membership dues
to the bare minimum - $20 or even $15.

There are many ladies out there waiting for you to ‘say something’ and invite them to be part of your team.
Folks are confused, frustrated, and worn out. We, Texas Federation of Republican Women, have the incredible
organization to re-energize and WIN. Let’s not despair!

I’m sharing a FUN event, and one that will also show support for our very dear First Responders. Please enjoy and
feel free to copy the idea from President Stacey Buick and V.P. Membership Claudia Laird from Liberty Belles R.W.

On April 18, 2018, Liberty Belles Republican Women (LBRW) held its “HOT, HOT, HOT Ice
Cream Social” at the City of Panorama Pavilion. A mailer was sent to all Republican voters in
the City of Panorama to join LBRW for socializing with the members, eating ice cream, and
meeting the “Scoop Team.”

The “Scoop Team” was comprised of First Responders and Veterans. And as these ladies said,
‘they were quite attractive and fun.”
Attendees were encouraged to bring their children and friends to the free event. The
event built and encouraged great community in Panorama. The ‘Scoop Team’ doled out
several gallons of Blue Bell [of course] ice cream and the Republican women signed up new
members. Best of all, it was FUN!!

We still have it in us. Please sign up ladies this month. There are still a great many women who have not rejoined
from 2017, at least another 1,500. I have spoken to each president either through text or phone, and I’m always here
to help. Your District Directors and Deputy Presidents are also ready to assist you. PLEASE double check to make
sure that your treasurer is sending members’ contact information in a timely fashion, alphabetized with check
included.

We know even the most red parts of Texas are threatening to turn blue. We MUST continue to build our army of
warrior women. We MUST speak with graciousness and build unity. We have always been the ones to block walk,
phone call, and keep our state RED. We need to add as many to our troops as possible. Texas turning blue is not an
option!

Come join a great group of women!
