                               Cy-Fair Republican Women

Attention to detail and quiet, calm, capable leadership are attributes of Barbara Buxton of
        Cy-Fair Republican Women.

Coming later in life to the political arena, her first campaign was that of George W. Bush. The national and global
destruction she saw after 9/11, propelled her to become involved and to make a difference which she has done
        well!

Living in Boerne, Texas, she had her first taste of the Texas Federation of Republican Women being encouraged by,
in her words, “some great Republican Women.”

After moving to Houston in 2007, she joined a club where she immediately became engaged. She has never looked
back! She served as Treasurer, First Vice-President, and now as President. TFRW also benefitted from her support
and leadership as she has been a long-time Patron, was appointed Deputy President, Region II, then PAC Chair,
and now serves as District Director for SD 7. She also has presented numerous times regarding the Treasurer/PAC
Treasurer position for Greater Houston Council and TFRW.
She has served as Precinct Chair and Election Judge in Harris County since 2008. Numerous candidates have
benefitted from her generosity and volunteerism! Her home has been the scene of many fundraisers.

This astute woman is the owner of an oilfield supply company along with her husband Larry. She knows that
financial success and the future of her beloved family depend on her activism. She credits outstanding TFRW
women for mentoring her to become a leader.
