A Few Easy Tasks

Hi, Ladies! If you are reading this [and I hope you are], then you are one of those special people who takes our
Party’s message seriously, our TFRW mission to heart, and everyone probably calls on you to get the job done.
Right?!?! Well, THANK YOU! YOU are the reason we have such a dynamic Republican Women’s organization.
And YOU are the perfect person to not only share our message but sign up all those ladies for YOUR club. We all
know that growing our clubs at this time in our crucial election cycle is paramount. Let’s help our team by doing
just a few easy tasks.
• Our TFRW NEW MEMBER BROCHURE is on the website!! Check it out. Print it for your club and teach
everyone REPUBLICANESE!

• Encourage the Officers and Board Members of Your Club! Many of these ladies will be brand new to their
positions and need the extra support. AND if they’ve done this job for a long time, then they need some
relief that you can provide.

• Here’s a fun idea that I got from Bush Legacy RW that can be adapted for any time of the year. For their
November ‘Thanksgiving’ meeting, to acknowledge and thank their members, several of their members
baked sweet treats and bagged them up to share with all of the ladies at the general meeting. They called
this “The Sweet Scents of Home”. This could be done for Valentine’s Day OR for a ‘thank you’ at any time of
the year! Think about dropping off these “thank yous” to all of your women who are getting ready to work
the polls on March 6!

• Club Presidents – Please stay in close touch with your Membership VP and Treasurer and KNOW your club
membership number.

• Place a membership application in front of each member at every single general meeting. {Double check
that your board members have rejoined.} Just having a stack of membership applications on the table will
not encourage ladies to join again.

• Ladies, help host a ‘Membership Calling Party.’ Secure the lists of those who need to rejoin, add names of
potential members and have fun calling ‘together.’ As soon as you call, immediately address an envelope,
tuck in an application and mail it to the person with whom you just spoke. FOLLOW UP within the week.
Have ‘runners’ who will go pick up membership applications and checks. Call and follow up with online
sign-up. As I’ve said before, IT WORKS!!!

• Set a goal [HIGH, but ATTAINABLE] for your club, and announce it many times at your meetings and in
your newsletters. Brainstorm with your team and have a membership challenge for your club. Perhaps have
a ‘prize’ waiting for those who participate and definitely one for the member who brings in the most.

• Email and send in to TFRW membership contact info and dues OFTEN. Larger clubs can make a submis-
sion weekly. PLEASE DO NOT HOLD MEMBERSHIP INFO NEEDING TO BE SENT TO THE TFRW OFFICE.

• And finally, EACH MEMBER needs to carry multiple copies of applications in their purse. This only works
if one is willing to openly SHARE our GREAT REPUBLICAN MESSAGE.

• Let’s have ALL clubs re-upped with their membership by MARCH 1, before our primary election. Then,
we’ll be ready to go out and gather all the rest of the new members who need to join our organization.
