It’s April!

Spring has sprung, and I’m doing the happy dance! Fresh air, warmer temperatures, and
flowers blooming… what’s not to love?

Of course, spring isn’t all bluebonnets and rainbows. It’s also one of the busiest times of year for ladies
like us, which is why I so appreciate Shakespeare’s observation on youth.

We have two conventions coming up this year (NFRW and TFRW). I know all of you are watching your
deadlines (membership, awards, etc.) to ensure that your club has representation and isn’t missing out
on its well-earned recognition.

TFRW’s 2019 Signature Attire

To make certain that we maintain our reputation and arrive in style, I am
taking pre-payments and orders for our 2019 Signature Attire for convention.
The scarves are $35 and the large pins are $15 with the cash/check discount.
Please email me at [email protected] for details. The scarves and pins will be
available for pick-up at the April and June Board Meetings, while supplies last.

Whether you are new to politics or a seasoned veteran, please
consider running for a leadership position within TFRW. District
Directors are elected by the delegates within their district at our
biennial convention, and if you’ve already served on the Board for
a year, then you can run for an elected position on the Executive
Committee. The nomination application can be found HERE.

DON’T FORGET!

TFRW Legislative Day events are coming up April 24-26, 2019. I hope
everyone is planning to join the fun at Belles ‘N Boots on Wednesday,
April 24th. Thursday, April 25th is our Legislative Day at the Capitol
followed by a Luncheon with Keynote Speakers RNC Chair
Ronna McDaniel and Texas House Speaker Dennis Bonnen, and
the Board of Director’s meeting on Friday, April 26th. The Lege Day
Luncheon will also feature a Golden Cupcake fundraiser! Two lucky
ladies will walk away with gorgeous jewelry for the price of a cupcake,
courtesy of our own Daryl Reynolds, Deputy President Region III.
