Deputy President, Region 9
Nathalie I can’t tell you how proud I am to be a Republican woman! What
Swisher a journey to Victory it has been! 2017 has already started off to be a
great year with the Inauguration of Republican President Donald J. Trump!
Email Plenty of Texans made the trip to Washington DC to witness the historic
nswisher@satx.rr.com 58th Presidential Inauguration. Others participated in special events right
here at home. Austin RW held a “sold out†Inauguration Celebration Party
District Directors watching President Trump and Vice President Pence get sworn into office.
Our President is already doing a great job! You can follow
Senatorial District 14 @realDonaldTrump on Twitter to get real news, not fake news!

Getting new members to join your club is a year round endeavor! Now,
cassdtx@gmail.com more than ever, it’s extremely important! More members equal more del-
Senatorial District 25 egates at the upcoming Convention in Dallas. I’m amazed at the number
of guests I see coming to all our club meetings every month and joining
Deana Abiassi “on the spot.†Our numbers are going up and it’s exciting to see! One of
dabiassi@live.com our clubs has had tremendous success in getting new members, so much so,
Northwest Austin RW has moved from a Medium club into the Large
club category. We need all clubs to keep working those “One More’s†and
help us reach TFRW’s goal of 15,000 by June 1st.
DEPUTY PRESIDENT MAGAZINE
Capitol RW is a “happy hour†club made up of young professional work-
ing women in the downtown Austin area. Many are staffers who work full
time jobs at the State Capitol. What an impressive group of young ladies
making it happen! Congratulations to San Antonio RW club member
Laura Koerner! She ran unopposed in the Fair Oaks Ranch City Council
At Large Place 4 race. She took office as Alderwoman in mid-May.
Club members from Alamo City RW, Alamo Heights RW, Bexar
County RW, Kendall County RW and Mission Hills RW “stood upâ€
and “showed up†wearing turquoise at the Right2Speak Power Lunch at the
Spaghetti Warehouse in San Antonio on March 8th. They let their voices be
heard that the “Day Without A Woman†was #NotMyMarch and #Not-
MyProtest! Amy Clark, RPT Vice Chair shared words of wisdom during
the lunch program. Learn more at right2speak.org.
Canyon Lake RW, Hays County RW, and Lost Pines RW got on
board with the #NFRWBrightFuture campaign. They took group photos
wearing their sunglasses because “The Future’s So Bright We’ve Got To
Wear Shades.†Maybe you recognized a few familiar faces in the NFRW
Capitol Connection newsletter.
I’m happy to say we have another new club in Region IX. Lost Pines RW
is our newest club and meets in Bastrop County. Our next big challenge is
to get a club started in SD 26 where there currently are none!
Our Region IX Leadership Workshop took place on March 25th at the T
Bar M Camps | Resorts in New Braunfels.
