VOTER REGISTRATION
SUMMARY
CONFERENCE CALLS
AUGUST 2008

This plan is simply an outline, be innovative in your approach to Voter Registration. If retailers in your area are hesitant to let you in the door try alternative locations. I am even thinking of setting up a cover and table and having a drive through registration opportunity in a parking lot or on a busy corner.

The Republican Business Women of Bexar County reported organizing a Voter Registration Drive at a large Gun Show in San Antonio. What a great idea! If any of you wish to contact them please let me know. These same gun shows are offered in Austin, Conroe, Corpus Christi and Pharr, Texas.

If any of you have ideas not mentioned today please email me at sriskman@aol.com and I will get them out to our local clubs.

On the personal side, I followed the lead of Toni Anne and purchased a “McCain 2008” decorative pin. It is sold by the TFRW and it is very flashy, done in rhinestones, and it attracts a lot of attention. When people see this pin they stop me and start to talk to me, where I got it, etc. I take the opportunity to campaign a little and then ask them if they are registered to vote, along with any family members that may need to register to vote.

I know this is extreme, but carry voter registration cards, if not your whole kit!
If someone is not registered this is an opportunity to get them registered.

Remember, we only have until October 6, 2008 for this year’s election; however, we have until September 1, 2009 for the contest.

Thank you for the opportunity to present this information, I consider it an honor.
