A huge high-five to all you Campaign Activities Chairmen who have sent me their clubs’ hours and their contact information!!
There is much going on, to date I have received reports totaling over 54,500 hours. Republican Women Rock!! This time that you are volunteering not only helps our candidates, but also demonstrates how valuable we are as grassroots workers. Elected officials listen when a known volunteer calls or writes.
The race is on…our General Election Competition started as of April 9 and will end November 5. Be sure that you get verification of volunteer time by a staffer, on the special form that is included. And we know that you will personally thank Lt. Governor Dewhurst for his generosity when you get an opportunity.
So Ladies, as we go down the cafeteria line of life this election year, on November 4, you will get one of two huge cookies on your plate, whether you want it or not; and it won’t even be chocolate chip. One will almost surely increase your taxes, appoint leftist judges to the Supreme Court, push for amnesty for illegal immigrants, doesn’t respect our military, just to name a few; while the other one may not do any or all of those things. Which one is more likely to pay attention to what we think? So if you’re stretching out your 3 days to “get over it”, please think about the fact that a non-vote for any candidate is ½ a vote for his opponent.
