As I travel the state, I hear the clubs nominating their women to be honored at Tribute.  The words to describe the women confirm why TFRW members are considered a force to make things happen.  Tribute to Women allows the clubs to choose outstanding women to say thank you for the hard work and loyalty to our party. Everyone is welcome to the luncheon to honor these incredible women.  You don’t have to be a delegate or alternate to the convention just join us for lunch.  Mary Mayo has worked hard to make this the event of the year, see pages 3 – 7.  Hope to see you there.

The competitions have begun:

The General Election Competition, sponsored by Lt. Governor Dewhurst, started up April 9; see details on pages 16 – 18.  Remember increasing your membership by 12 % this year will give you bonus hours.  If you have questions contact Carol Hanle, VP Campaign Activities, or Besa Martin, Candidate Development.

Victory 2008 has an incentive program which parallels TFRW General Election another opportunity to earn money.  Don’t forget to appoint your Victory liaison and get the name to Kathy Webster and Casey Martin, Victory Liaisons Co-Chairmen, see page 30.

Sherry Peterson, Voter Registration Chairman, and her committee have designed a program to win an award for registering voters, see pages 10 – 14.  I bet you thought things would slow down for a while after the primary and before the general election.  Republican Women don’t ever slow down.

Once again, this newsletter is full of information you need to read.  There are a couple ways to share these articles:  copy from this book or go to www.TFRW.org.  Using our web page allows you to copy and paste to an e-mail then send.  It’s at your finger tips to share one page or all pages.  It’s a form of mentoring to bring future leaders into the fold.

Thank you for everything!  You make this job fun and filled with excitement. Hope to see you at the convention.
