TFRW CLUBS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO FILE

 THE NEW 990-N

Some clubs have received the IRS notice titled ‘Annual Electronic Notice (e-Postcard)’, however when you attempt to file, you will receive an error notice from the IRS warning you that your type of organization is not required to file form 990-N.  Section 527 organizations are not eligible to file the e-Postcard.

If you wish to verify your club’s status with the IRS, the telephone number for the IRS office that handles these matters is 1-877-829-5500.  There will be some wait time; however, these agents are knowledgeable regarding the 990 requirements.
