TFRW Tribute to Women Luncheon
On behalf of the Texas Federation of Republican Women, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend our traditional Tribute to Women event to be held Friday, June 13, 2008 in conjunction with the Republican Party of Texas state convention in Houston.
The Tribute to Women event is held every two years to honor our members of the Texas Federation of Republican Women. It is truly a special honor for members to receive this award from their home club and to be recognized at the luncheon.
We have so many special women in this organization of 164 clubs throughout Texas. This is an opportunity to honor their commitment and efforts in keeping Texas a strong Republican state. The members of TFRW (which number over 10,000 women) have been recognized as the most dedicated group of political volunteers in the nation.
Please discuss this important event with your club members so that members can be given consideration for selection and nomination from their respective clubs for this wonderful event. All TFRW Clubs have the opportunity to recognize members who have volunteered their efforts within their local club, TFRW and the Republican Party. An Honoree must be a member in good standing of a TFRW Club. In order to accommodate our larger clubs, each club may have the opportunity to submit up to 4 nominees.
Nomination Forms will be available for your club to submit along with registration fees and the bio’s of your nominees. Clubs should submit biographical sketches of a maximum of 200 words, (typewritten or e-mailed as a Word Document) detailing only TFRW and Republican activities of your Nominees attached to the Nominating Forms. The bios will be printed as submitted and published in the Book of Honor which all Nominees will receive, as well as the distinguished Tribute to Women Pin. Each Honoree will also be photographed with attending dignitaries. Forms will be forthcoming.
Registration fees will cover the cost of the luncheon, the Book of Honor, Tribute Pin, and photographs for the Honorees. Seating will be assigned on a “first received” basis and tables are expected to seat 10. Forms and information on registration fees will be forthcoming.
All members of the Texas Federation of Republican Women, elected officials, and guests, are invited to attend this celebration and recognition, of these outstanding women.
